Adult Sunday School classes include
include ongoing video series, Bible study and special lectures throughout the year.
- High School classes
- 9:00-10:00 am
High school Sunday School meets in the LOFT at 9 a.m. and studies various topics using the curriculum The Thoughtful Christian.
- Junior High School classes
- 10:30-11:30 am
Beginning March 18th and going thru Easter the Junior High youth will have a special program led by Rev. Elizabeth Bowes. Come out after the Time for Children and meet in the LOFT (room 28) for the remainder of worship.
- Children's classes (preschool - 5th grade)
- 10:30-11:30 am
Children begin in worship with their families and go to Sunday School following the Children's Sermon. On the first and fifth Sundays of the month, children begin Sunday School at 10:30 am in room 25
to practice for special events (such as a Youth Worship Service on May 13th at 10:30 am and the Christmas Drama). On the first Sunday of the month, the children return to worship services for Communion.

- Nursery care (birth - age 2) is available during the Sunday School hours on first floor in room 10.

- Acolyte Ministry

This program is open to students who are in the 3rd grade and up.
Currently Wesley has four trained Acolytes who serve in worship. Acolytes lead the Light of Christ in and out of the sanctuary for worship services. The group is led by Rev. Elizabeth Bowes; please contact her for more information.

- Confirmation classes
-
This course is offered annually by Rev. H. Jason Reed and is typically open to students in the 7th and 8th grades. Currently Confirmands meet on Sundays from 3:50-5:00 pm in the Loft. For the complete schedule and more information, please contact Rev. Reed.

- Vacation Bible School
- Conducted once each summer as a joint project with our church neighbors:
Community United Methodist Church and First Congregational Church.
- Youth Fellowship Ministries

- Junior Youth Fellowship (grades 6 - 8)
- This Junior High Fellowship group meets at various times
throughout the school year and has a lot of great events,
such as games, movies, lock-ins, retreats and discussion nights. See the Youth page for more details.
- Senior Youth Fellowship (grades 9 - 12)
- This Senior High Fellowship meets at various times throughout the school year.
In addition to the spiritually challenging and fun events planned during
the school year, they go on two retreats each year. A work trip or
project is planned each summer. See the Youth page for more details.

- Adult Fellowship
- Koinonia
- An adult fellowship group that meets once a month, usually on the second
Saturday, from September through May. They enjoy such things as potlucks,
barbecues, progressive dinners, games, plays, and musicals. As a highlight
there is a mystery trip each April!
- Saturday Singles
- A christian social group for single adults, over 40 years of age, that meets about once a month to socialize and plan activities. See our calendar for details. For more information, contact Pam Whittles via email at whittles@wesleyumcnaperville.org or leave a message at (630) 355-1834, ext. 16.
- Fourth Friday Film Group
- A fellowship group that meets once a month in the atrium, on the fourth friday, to discuss a movie with a social message; participants must arrange to view the movie prior to attending the discussion. The group is open to everyone who meets the viewing age criteria as defined by the MPAA movie rating for the chosen movie. - United Methodist Men
- A fellowship of men who meet monthly for a breakfast program at 7:30am on
the first sunday of each month, October through June, to share their talents
& blessings to support the mission of Wesley United Methodist Church
and Christ's church throughout the world.
- United Methodist Women
- A community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom
as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive
fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the
global ministries of the church. There are several circles of United Methodist
Women that meet at various times.

In Our Music God Is Glorified
You are cordially invited to join us!
Making music to the Lord and to His glory is an amazing
worship experience open to everyone from kindergarten through adult. There is a place in the choir for each person
that has the desire to serve the Lord through music, regardless of how much
previous musical experience he/she might have.Wesley's musical groups provide the congregation with a wide variety of
music worship experiences from classical to contemporary and gospel. I am looking forward to seeing you at choir!

- Children's Opportunities

Children who commit to a choir learn scripture, hymns, musicianship, vocal training, bell ringing technique, and the joy of singing and ringing quality children’s literature with a group that becomes their church friends.
The children’s choirs rehearse every week. Children are welcome to join at any time during the choir season. The choir season has begun and will end with the Easter performance.
- Good News Singers

- Individuals are invited and encouraged to share their music talents
during worship services; an excellent accompanist may also be available
to you. Summer is an excellent time to volunteer for this opportunity;
however, there could be Sundays that would work during the regular
choir season. If you are interested in doing this, please contact the
Director of Music
to begin the scheduling process at least one month in advance of when you think you would like to share your musical talents.
- The Stephen Ministry
- There are many people within our congregation who need someone to listen
and pray with them as they go through difficult times in their life.
Stephen Ministers are trained lay people who offer the confidential Christian
love and support people seek.

Over 35 years ago this program began as part of Wesley's community outreach.
Kid's Day Out accommodates children from 6 months through kindergarten. This valuable program was developed as a response to the needs of the Naperville community.
- Scouts
- The United Methodist Men at Wesley charter (sponsor) two Scout groups which
provide educational programs for boys and young adults to build character,
to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop

- Boy Scout Troop 100
- Troop 100 is our Scouting program for boys 11 through 17 designed to
achieve the aims of Scouting through a vigorous outdoor program and
peer group leadership
with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster. Troop 100 has a long history
of achievement including years of leadership by Naperville's legendary
Scoutmaster
Jack Berryman, and a roster of Eagle Scouts that typically grows by

- Venture Crew 100
- Venturing is our Scouting program for young men and women who are 14
(and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing's
purpose
is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and
to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Crew 100
places a strong emphasis
on outdoor High Adventures and currently includes eleven Eagle Scouts
